6/98 Barn approx. 50m north of Ingley Hill Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Late C18 with early C19 additions. Red brick; tiled roof; verge parapets on corbelled kneelers. East elevation has six tiers of small slit vents; some now blocked. Threshing floor entry to right of centre, full height with segmental head and double boarded doors; later lean-to on left side. South gable has hay loft door over stable door and flush stable wing of similar eaves height and two doors to left. This barn is very similar to its counterpart at Horsley Brook Farm (q.v.), both part of the Swinfen Hall Estate.
