H plan, the wings with hipped roof. 2 storeys of 4 stone mullion windows with hood moulds : 3-light on wings and 2 2-lights in centre. On ground floor 3 similar 4-lights and doorway centre right. A shouldered moulded stone frame with cushion frieze and cornice. C19 6-panelled door. On each wing inner return and in centre a stone tablet with moulded horizontal oval (3 in all). Over that in centre a blank stone tablet with hood mould. Similar facade to rear and further stone mullion windows on ends. Inside are a stone bolection moulded fireplace, 2-fielded panelled doors with original hinges, most of the original secondary staircase and the principal staircase. This is of oak with later painted balusters inserted except for last 2nd floor flight where it appears balustrade was originally open. This may have been the case for the whole staircase, where perhaps carved panels were intended but never inserted. Pevsner, where mistakenly called 'Old Hall' (q.v.).
