House. Mid C17. Coursed rubble stone, part once colourwashed, with stone dressings and Welsh slate front roof, Collyweston slate rear and side roof with stone and cemented brick ridge stacks. H plan with stone coped gabled cross wings. 2½ storeys of 4 3-light stone mullion windows with hood moulds. On 2nd floor a similar 2-light in each gable and 2 2-light leaded-casement dormers in centre. On ground floor, from left, 4-light stone mullion window, sashed rectangular bay, doorway with part-glazed door, moulded stone frame, and cushion freize, 3-light stone mullion window and 1/1 sash. Further 2 and 3-light stone mullion windows to rear. Here a 1 storey range of outhouses projecting to rear, one, a former brewhouse, with inglenook. Inside, in the hall, is a moulded stone fireplace with 4-centred arch. There are also a C17 oak newel staircase, C18 staircase with turned balusters and C17 and C18 panelling. V.C.H.,Vol.V.
