8/31 Point House. 10.5.61 G.V. II
House, c.1700, either re-fronted or re-built to the east in teh later C18. Built of red brick with slate and black pantiled roofs. 2½ storeys to west, 2 storeys to right. 'T' shaped plan. Western section, one window, with rendered plinth, moulded brick platband and eaves. Brick kneeler to parapet gabled. Inserted C19 door and window on ground floor. C19 3-light window in reduced opening on first floor, with wrought iron casement and transom. C20 wedge dormer and west gable stack. Eastern section, 3 bays, with central shallow projection bay and end pilasters. 5 windows. Central entrance door with 6 raised and fielded panels, semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars. Timber doorcase with projecting broken pediment, Doric pilasters and entabla- ture. Sash windows with glazing bars and flat gauged brick arches. Timber modillion eaves, rear C20 wedge dormer, and end stacks.
