OAKTHORPE AND DONISTHORPE HALL LANE, DONISTHORPE SK 31 SW 4/51 Donisthorpe Hall (Previously listed as No 1 HALL LANE) 24.11.65 II House of early C18. Red brick and twin span slate roof with linked ridge ends. Stone coped gables and moulded stone cornice. 2 brick end stacks, left hand projecting. 2 storeys end attic. 5 9/6 sashes to let floor, 2 paired 9/9 sashes below: cambered brick lintels. Central early C2O Tudor style porch with stone dressings, arched doorway, and 1-light each side. On left end a tall attic casement either side of stack. On right end a small outshut, same date end style as porch, with 1-light to front end containing hall fireplace. 2 attic 8/8 sashes, cambered lintels. To right, set back, a lower early C18 2 storey wing of 3 9/9 sashes, red brick with plain tiled gambrel roof and rebuilt large central ridge stack. A contemporary outshut beyond this. Rear with additional basement, 4 9/6 sashes over 4/4 sashes and 2 casements underneath. Left window tall with C20 glazed door below. On wing 4 6/6 sashes over 2 renewed tripartite sashes and 2-light casement. Interior: C18 oak staircase with turned balusters and rear left room with C18 oak panelling of 2 fielded panels per bay, now painted.
