Details
MILL STREET 1. 1469 (East Side) Nos 12 & 14 SK 8608 6/87 II GV 2. Probably late C18. 2 cottages comprised in 1 building. Rubble, with upper storey and roof repaired with red brick. Slate roof. 2-storeys. 4 windows with flush frames. No 12 - has 2 ground floor mid C17 splayed bay windows of 5-lights with moulded mullions and cornice and slated pentice roof, which have apparently been inserted from an earlier building. No 14 - has 3-light modern casement windows under wood lintels. Both houses have adjacent and similar early C19 doorcases with reeded surrounds, moulded cornice and paterae. Blocked door to right. Nos l0 to 16 (even) form a group.
