Church. Early C14. Local lias stone cut, squared and coursed, with Ham stone dressings; plain clay tiles, with bands of fish scale tiles to nave and porch, between coped gables, ornamented ridges, cross finials to both main gables. A 2-cell church with 2-bay chancel and 3-bay nave with South porch and West tower. Plain chancel has a late C15 traceried East window with external ferramenta, with curvilinear windows Westernmost each side, and later possibly C16 windows Easternmost, 2-light to South, 1-light to North side; steeply cambered arched doorway between the South windows. Nave has full-height bay buttresses on North side, and between them in bays 1 and 3 C14 2-light cusped lancet windows with Quatrefoils, to bay 2 and tall plain pointed arched doorway with old door; on South side 2 buttresses, one half height, to bay 1 a square head C16 traceried window with square foliated stops to label, to bay 3 a C15 traceried pointed arched window and a C17 2-light hollow chamfer mullioned window with label; to bay 2 the South porch, gabled, with outer 2-centre arch of 2 orders, the outer segmental, and inner plain pointed arch door and a possibly C16 door with old ironwork. The tower of 4 stages, of which the bottom is square, with angled offset corner buttresses on West side, the remaining 3 stages octagonal. Early C14 traceried window stage 1; small plain lancet windows on South and North-west faces stage 2, with relieving arches over; similar windows to the cardinal points stage 3; larger cusped lancet windows stage 4 to all faces except North and South, fitted with stone baffle grilles; shallow flat parapet; stair turret with pyramidal roof to North-east corner. Internally the ceilings boarded, of late C19 or early C20, with collar braced rafters to chancel and ribbed pointed barrel vault to nave. Narrow single chamfered chancel arch possibly pre-C14 tower arch double chamfered on moulded brackets, possibly of C13. Traces of wall painting and colouring to nave North wall. Late C17 turned balustered communion rail, and choirstalls possibly of same date, pews also late C17; Small tub font on shaft; plain C17 pulpit.
