Summer house or gambling house, now a garden store. Probably 1758-63 by James Paine for William Middleton. Ashlar; Westmorland slate roof. Single- storey, square plan with lower, rectangular extensions to each side and apsidal extension to rear. Central board door with 6-pane, segmental-headed window above. Open triangular pediment to front and rear gables. Side wings and rear apse all have slate roofs. Interior has 3 semicircular recesses and plastered vaulted ceiling. Heavy growth of creepers obscures details.
