House. Late-C16. Timber framed with painted rendered infil, partly rendered, and partly refaced with painted limestone rubble; slate roof. 2 framed bays at right-angles to road. 2 storeys. Integral lateral stone stack to north with red brick top stage, and late-C19 end stack to rear. Framing: square panels to south, close studding with centre rail to front; jettied gable to front with moulded bressumer and carved bracket, and mid-C20 planted timbers suggesting mixed king post and queen strut truss beneath with parallel diagonal framed infil panels. Formerly jettied first floor with moulded bressumer, now underbuilt probably with former front wall framing brought forward. First floor C20 two-light diamond-leaded casement, ground floor C20 two-light diamond-leaded casement to left, and small C20 diamond-leaded casement to right; C20 boarded door off-centre to right. Gap in framing and mortices for diamond-shaped mullions in underside of gable bressumer are evidence of a former central first floor oriel window. Interior: corner fireplaces with chamfered lintels.
