Shop. C16 origin, largely rebuilt 1906 by trustees of Henry Skynner's Bequest (plaque on front). Timber frame, roughcast with steep old red tile roofs. An L-shaped 2-storeys building with jettied street range, and partly supporting the Old Clock Tower over a footway on N. Arts and Crafts style detailing with fat circular red brick chimneys with moulded caps, moulded cornice under jetty between bull-nosed joist ends. Roughcast rear wing with gabled stair tower in the angle. E front has 2 4- light leaded casement rectangular oriel windows, each with a central moulded bracket. Framed inscription plaque between, under overhanging eaves. Wide shopfront with narrow fascia underjetty, central door and 3-light shop windows. Part of picturesque group.
