4/12 Ryall family Chest Tomb, 16 metres South of the South-east corner of the chancel, Church of Saint James -
GV II
Chest tomb. Mid C18. Ham stone ashlar, carved: moulded base buried at time of survey (1983), fielded panels, two to each flank and one to each end without corner pilasters, heavily moulded hipped top. Commemorates, amoung others, George Ryall, died 1753, and also John Corry, died 1812. Inscriptions eroded. One of a good group of five tombs.
