The Granary at Upp Hall (60m to N of mansion)

Outbuilding. Late C16 or early C17 altered in C18. Red brick in
irregular English-bond and steep old red tile hipped roof. A
single-storey 3-bay structure with entrance central in S end, and
2 narrow chamfered window openings originally with arched heads
in middle of E side. The walls are very thick and the building
has been reduced in height. Whitewashed interior. Queen-strut
and purlin roof structure with first tie-beam from S morticed for
a cross-partition. Original use uncertain. Wide plank S door
with narrower louvred opening over. (RCHM (1911) 68).
