12/107 Merryweathers 18.1.67 (formerly listed as house on east side of Cliff Grange)

House. 1730 or 1736 on chimney stack; C19 alteration; reroofed 1912. Cruck frame, encased in coursed sandstone rubble with pantile roof; brick and stone stacks. 3-cell, hearth-passage plan. 1½ storey, 3-window front. To right of centre, C20 board door with fire window to left; C20 glazed door to end left. Remaining windows are horizontal-sliding sashes, of 3 lights to the centre and 2 lights to end right. 3 raked dormers with 3-light horizontal-sliding sashes to attic. End and right of centre stacks. Datestone on stack is inscribed: G I B 1730/6?

Interior: plank door in left wall of cross passage with bifurcated strap hinge; plank door to right has butterfly hinges. Both rooms to right have chamfered beams with run-out stops. First floor: one pair of saddle apex upper crucks are visible in the wall between the 2 rooms to the right.
