Incorrectly shown on Ordnance Survey map as Church Meadows Cottage. House. Mid C18 with later extension. Coursed sandstone rubble with herringbone- tooled quoins and lintels; pantile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. Central- stairhall plan, 1 room deep, with rear service extension. 2-storey, 3- window front. 6-panel door flanked by 2-light, 8-pane horizontal sliding sashes with stone sills; similar windows to first floor. Tripartite keyed lintels to all openings. Coped gables and shaped kneelers. End stacks. Interior: closed-string, straight staircase with turned balusters and half balusters attached to square section newels; beaded square section handrail, ramped-up. Original partition walls of beaded planking are intact throughout house. Ground floor: in room to left, thebressumer and arched stone fireplace survive. Early C19 surround in room to right. Roof: 1 pair of re-used cross-apex crucks.
