- II
Farmhouse. c1600, with mid-C19 alterations; restored mid-C20. Part timber-framed with rendered infill and brick replacement walling; part brick; plain tiled roof. Hall and cross-wing plan; hall part aligned north-east/south-west, rebuilt mid-C20; cross-wing of two framed bays adjoins south-west gable end and has partly rebuilt external chimney with tiled offsets and also C20 external chimney to its south-west side elevation. Two storeys with attic and cellar; dentilled eaves cornice. Framing: north- west bay of cross-wing survives; three rows of panels from sill to girding- beam and from girding-beam to wall-plate; upper two floors are jettied on shaped brackets; collar and tie-beam truss with two collars, four struts to lower and two struts to upper collar. South-east front elevation: windows are all C20 leaded casements. Hall part has a 3-light and a 2- light window on both floors; C20 entrance door to left; cross-wing gable end has a 4-light window on ground and first floor and an attic light; ground and first floor rectangular light with cambered head in angle with hall part. Interior: original winder staircase survives in cross-wing; 3-light C17 mullion and transom window on ground floor of cross-wing at north-west gable end.
