Early C19. Single-storeyed dwelling, of symmetrical form and very plain classical style; one window on either side of a central entrance. Low-pitched slate roof, with a wide plain eaves above a fascia, the gable, to the ends and centre having pediment form, with a fascia returned at eaves level. Walling of painted brickwork, plinth. The 2-light casements have slightly projected frames with pediment tops. The centrepiece projects above 2 plain columns, with simple cap and base mouldings. The thin doorframe has a pediment top. (Note: Identical South Lodge in Stratfield Turgis).
