House, now two dwellings. Inscribed and dated 'AD 1827' and 'AM 5835' on plaques, but with earlier origins. Stucco facade with stone slate roof. H-shaped on plan. Elizabethan revival. Four-bay centre of single tall storey to left and two storeys to right with two-storey, single bay wings. Off-centre entrance under embattled porch with Tudor arch and shields above. Gothick panelled door in four-centred surround. Centre range has tall five-light mullion and transom window with round-headed lights under hoodmoulds. Similar five-light mullion windows under hoodmoulds to right.
Wings: each have bay window to ground floor of five round-headed mullion and transom lights under hoodmoulds. Battlements. First floor: five-light mullion windows with rounded heads to each bay under hoodmoulds. Shields with date and inscription to gable. Kneelers surmounted by finials. Coping. Finial at apex to right Pairs of roof and ridge stacks with moulded bases and crenellations. Mainly two and three-light mullion windows to rear.three-light stained glass staircase window with Flora in centre.
Interior (Hillam Hall): imperial staircase with turned balusters. Panelled room with Gothick arch to rear.
