House, now two houses. First half C16 with C18, mid-C19 and late C20 alterations. Timber-frame with rendered infill, partially replaced and clad in painted brick, on red sandstone plinth, tile roof. Five framed bays with chimney stack in central bay, with lobby-entrance to street; no 15 is in three bays to south, no 16 in the two bays to north. Two storeys, with attic to no 16 (right) lit by a C20 gabled dormer; irregular fenestration: three plus one windows: 2-light C20 casements, save that to right of centre which is of one light; ground floor: two plus two windows; all C20 casements, two to left of three lights, others of two lights. Entrance to no 15 to left has ledged and boarded C18 door in wooden archi- trave; to no 16 roughly centrally placed with gabled C20 canopy and C20 boarded door. Framing to left hand three bays exposed on first floor, a single square panel high with straight angle braces. Interior: roof has struts to collars with trenched purlins. Exposed ceiling beams are chamfered and stopped.
