Two houses. Early C19. Stucco with painted stone dressings;
slate roof with stepped coping to left gable end; brick ridge
and end stacks. Double-depth plan, each house of 2-window
range with adjoining staircase halls. 2 storeys, 4-window
range. 8/8-pane sashes to first floor. No.51 has carriage
entrance with elliptical arch to far left. 2 adjacent
doorcases at centre with painted, panelled pilasters and
reveals under on moulded cornice; 6-panel doors, upper panels
now glazed, with overlights. Flanking the doors are
rectangular 4-light bay windows with late C19 horned sashes of
1/1-panes. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: early
C19 forecourt railings on stone plinth with palmette tops and
urn finials at intervals.
