Terrace of 6 houses. Early C19. Flemish-bond brick with stone lintels and cills; continuous pantile roof more steeply pitched at the front than at the back with 2 brick stacks to each party wall, those to the front are square in section. Double-depth plan, each with one room to front. 3 storeys; 8-window range, Nos 5 & 6 being of 2-window range each. Small 2-light casement windows to the first floors, (No.4 has a large C20 window); painted keyed lintels to the lower floors; 8/8-pane sashes to the second floor except No.3, (C20) and No.4 (late C19 horned 2/2-pane sash); 8/8-pane sashes to the ground floor, except Nos 1 & 4 which have 2/2-pane sashes and No.3 which has C20 windows to both floors. The doors of Nos 2 & 3, and 4 & 5 are paired; Nos 4 & 5 have painted gauged semicircular brick arches and blank tympana; Nos 1 & 4 have an early C19 door with 2 vertical panels to the top and 2 horizontal ones to the base; the others are C20. Between Nos 3 & 4 is a recessed rainwater downpipe. The left return has a diagonal joint to the top right corner implying a former mansard roof; on it is faintly painted the words 'TAYLOR COAL & SALT STORE OIL AND COTTON CAKE'. INTERIORS not inspected.
