Cottage. C18 or early C19, extended in C19 and C20. Timber-framed, plastered, roof thatched. Rectangular plan facing S, with external stack at right end. C19 extension to left, with external stack at end, and C20 lean-to extension to rear of it, roofed with felt. C20 extension to right enclosing original stack, set back, with hipped roof of handmade red clay tiles. One storey. All windows are C20 casements with diamond leading; all except the right window have C20 external plain shutters. C20 door recessed in right extension. INTERIOR: unjowled posts. The rear wallplate has a simple splayed scarf near the left end, bolted. Primary straight bracing. The main posts are tenoned and pegged to the wallplates, the studs nailed, about 0.45m apart. C20 grate at right. C20 ceiling below original plastered ceiling. Side-purlin roof.
