House, now office. Probably c.1800, raised and altered in the c.1870s. Roughcast with a slate Mansard roof; end stacks with brick shafts to main block & similar to rear wing. Plan: Main block 2 rooms wide with a rear left service wing at right angles. Exterior: 2 storeys and attic. Symmetrical 3-bay front.Timber Tuscan doorcase with entablature and broken pediment; panelled reveals; 6-panel front door, the upper panels glazed; plain overlight. 2 ground and 3 first floor 4-pane sashes, probably 1870s, contemporary with the attic storey but in earlier embrasures. Three 1870s gabled attic dormers with pierced ridge tiles, deep eaves, shaped bargeborads forming a round-headed arch and left and right pilasters. Dormers glazed with 2-light casements, 3-panes per light with a round-headed light above the moulded transom. The left return of the wing preserves an early C19 16-pane sash. Interior: Not inspected. One of the directors of Berry and Vincent, a local building firm, lived in this house. Group value with the parish church and Grove Terrace.
