Formerly known as: Nos.15, 16 AND 17 WIDEMARSH STREET. House, now shops. C18 and C19 front, to earlier core. Brick; slate(?) roof. 3 storeys and cellar; 7-window range: (No.35) 3 late C19, 1/1 sashes with stone sills, under brick flat arches with fluted, key-stones; 2/2 sashes over, under segmental arches with channelled key-stones; moulded band; parapet with coping; C20 shop front. Nos.37 and 39 have four C20, 2/2 sashes with stone sills under segmental arches with fluted key-stones; storeyband; three C20, 2/2 sashes and one blocked opening; parapet with coping. Entrance (to No.39) to right: 6-panel door recessed in panelled moulded case with C20 fluted architrave and moulded pediment; to left, late C19/early C20 shop front with central 3/4 glazed door flanked by plate-glass windows with moulded pilaster glazing bars over glazed brick base. Entrance to right has half-glazed door with coloured lights under fanlight recessed in plain case, the whole under moulded cornice. Rear displays twin timber-framed gables. INTERIOR: No.37: C19 dogleg and winder staircase with stick balusters. 1st floor: moulded ceiling frame; mid C19 marble fireplace; corner fireplace; vertical stud visible; early C19 doors. Ground floor: kitchen range to rear; C17 moulded plaster ceiling with fleur-de-lys motif to corners, and central boss, in moulded ceiling frame; hop motif cable; pyramid-stop mouldings to main frame-beams; mirror-backed shelves. Cellar: ashlar masonry. No.35: 1st floor: moulded ceiling beams and plaster ceiling. No.39: late C18/early C19 dogleg staircase with turned balusters, moulded string and rail, to 2nd floor. 2nd floor: C19, 4- and 6-panel doors and architraves; early C19 fireplace; marble and other fireplaces. Ground floor: tiled floor commemorating famous Liberals; some panelling; passage: C17 timber-framing; moulded timber-framing and C19 stick framing; margin-glazed door; panelled cupboard doors. Cellar: stone-lined. (RCHME).
