GV II
Monument to members of the Fourdrinier family (dates of death 1841-1900). c1850. Ashlar. Square base has traces of railings; square monument on plinth, with cornice and urn, part missing, to cap; rebated angles. Inscriptions to 3 sides. Henry Fourdrinier, 1765-1854, was the inventor of a machine to make paper by a continuous process, and was maternal uncle to John Henry Newman.
