House. c1830 with late C19 alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond with tuck joints. Hipped black glazed pantile roof with lead rolls to hips and ridge and with paired brackets to moulded wooden eaves cornice. 2 brick axial stacks with moulded square yellow clay pots. Double-depth plan with 2 principal front rooms, central entrance hall and 2 back rooms with service ranges behind and around a small back yard. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay north front. The first floor has original 20-pane sashes, the centre narrower 15-pane sash and all have smaller margin panes. The windows have flat rubbed brick arches and these on the ground floor have been replaced by circa late C19 sashes without glazing bars. Central round-headed doorway in moulded architrave with traceried semi-circular fanlight and C19 door with round-headed panels. Across the front a verandah with wooden trellis piers and zinc-clad tented canopy. 2-window left- and right-hand side elevations with early and late C19 sashes, the right-hand side has a ground floor garden door and the left-hand side has a circa late C19 canted bay window with a moulded cornice and sash windows with keystones in flat arches. At the rear single-storey service and outhouse range around 2 sides of a small back yard which is enclosed on the left side by a wall. INTERIOR: not inspected but noted as having C19 white marble chimneypieces in 3 of the ground floor rooms. Panelled internal window shutters and other original joinery and the plasterwork is probably intact.
