Detached house. c.1840, altered. Brown brick in Flemish bond with sandstone dressings and hipped slate roof. Rectangular front range with long back extension to right-hand side. Classical style. Two storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical, the centre breaking forwards slightly; with a stone plinth, rusticated quoins, plain frieze and moulded cornice with blocking course. The ground floor has a central doorway with Ionic porch on 3 steps (now enclosed by glazed screens and doorway), flanked by later C19 canted bays with pilasters, moulded cornices with blocking courses, and sashed windows; all these openings now bridged by a C20 iron balcony. The 1st floor has sashed windows without glazing bars (except that in the centre which now has French windows), and all have retractable metal sun-hoods. Side-wall chimneys. Two-bay return wall with canted bay window at ground floor.
