Town house with later shop. C18, front remodelled late C19. Stuccoed front with parapet cornice; steep asbestos slate roof, hipped on the right; brick stack on the left. Deep plan, ranged around 2 small courtyards at rear. 2 storeys, over basement on right; overall 4-window range. Group of 3 early C19 hornless sashes with glazing bars, on right, with extra lights above former eaves level over early C20 altered transomed shop front with older granite ashlar stall risers, house doorway on its left with C18 or early C19 six-panel door and plain overlight; at far left a late C19 six-pane canted oriel with opening 3-pane sidelights, over C20 plate-glass window. Rear of building is a parallel-roofed warehouse with loading doorways to end fronting the lane. Within the left-hand courtyard, rear wall of front range has an early C18 three-light casement window with very thick glazing bars; similar 1-light window on right of central linking wing, also some mid C19 sashes with glazing bars. INTERIOR: early/mid C19 moulded ceiling cornice in left-hand room (No.6); early C19 moulded window architrave with corner blocks and roundels; C18 dogleg staircase and some C18 panelled doors.
