Terraced houses, now mainly offices. Early C19 with mid-C19 enrichments. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, stucco dressings, roofs of Welsh and artificial slate so far as visible; nos 374-8 painted. Four storeys over basement, two windows each, except that the former nos 360-364 now form one unit of six windows. Basement and ground floor stuccoed, except former nos 362-4 which are painted. On nos 340-former no 360 and nos 366-370 the stucco is plain with traces of scoring as ashlar; on nos 372-392 the ground floor is rusticated and there are vermiculated keystones to all openings. Round-arched entrance, except for former no 364 which is flat-arched; doorcase with reeding or semi-circular mouldings and cornice to nos 340-former no 360; nos 366 and 376 C20 replacement; nos 368-74 and 378-88 have fluted pilaster jambs and cornice; nos 390-92 have panelled pilaster jambs and modillion cornice. Fanlight, with decorative glazing to nos 342-346, 350-352, 382-384, 388-92; panelled doors of original design to nos 340-346, 350-352, 356, 360, 372, 380-382. All windows flat-arched, those to upper floors with moulded stucco architraves, the first-floor windows having pediments on consoles and the second-floor eared architraves except on nos 388-92, which have only three storeys in the main front; bracketed balconies with iron railings on nos 352-former 360. Sashes of original design to nos 340 (second floo)r, 346 (second and third floors), 350 (second floor), 352 (second and third floors), 360-364 (second and third floors), 366 (second floor), 370 (ground, second and third floors), 374-376 (second and third floors), 378 (second floor), 382 (ground, second and third floors), 384 (ground and third floors), 388 (second floor). The junction between nos 386 and 388 marked by vermiculated chamfered quoins. Modillion cornice with bracketed stops, the details lost on nos 374-378, blocking course, modelled lions rampant to ends of party walls, except on nos. 340-346, 352, 366-368, 374-378, 382-388. Nos 372 and 396 have balustraded parapet. Cast-iron railings to steps and area to nos 346, 350, 358, 366 and nos 374-7.
