Terraced houses. c.1825. Developed by Richard Laycock. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, stucco, roof of Welsh slate. Three storeys over basement, two windows each. All windows flat-arched with stucco architraves and cornices on consoles. Upper-floor windows to entrance bay have 6/6 sashes, those to window bay 8/8 on first floor, 4/8 on second floor; parapet. Nos 14-16 have segmental-arched window to basement, steps up to entrance with presumably original railings; flat-arched entrance to no 14 with gauged brick head in projecting two-storey bay, cornice on consoles, overlight and panelled door of original design; entrance and ground-floor windows to nos 15 and 16 with gauged brick head set in a round-arched recessed panel with gauged brick head, entrance with simple doorcase, cornice and fanlight with decorative glazing, panelled door; windows with sashes with intersecting glazing bars. Stucco sill band to first floor which has flat-arched windows with gauged brick heads and 6/6 sashes. Stucco to parapet, dormer in mansard roof; party wall projects carrying stacks. Nos 17-21 have segmental-arched window to basement, steps up to entrance with presumably original or reinstated railings. All entrances and ground-floor windows, except entrance to no 21, round-arched with gauged brick heads, set within recessed round-arched panels also with gauged brick heads; simple doorcase and cornice, fanlight (with decorative glazing on no 19), panelled doors of original design; no 21 has flat-arched entrance in two-storey projecting bay with gauged brick heads, cornice on consoles, overlight with decorative glazing and panelled door; ground-floor windows to nos 20 and 21 have sashes with intersecting glazing bars; sill band to first floor on nos 18-21. No 22 has a shallow segmental bay to right, answering no 13, flat-arched window to basement, steps up to flat-arched entrance with gauged brick head, cornice on consoles, overlight with decorative glazing and panelled door of original design.
