Terraced houses. Dated on the stepped parapet to no. 29, 'CMP 1847'. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, stucco, roofs obscured by parapet. Two and three storeys over basement, two windows each. The terrace reads as a symmetrical group unfinished to the south-west, with no 29 as the centrepiece. No 29 is an exception in the terrace with segmental-arched entrance with Roman Doric columns supporting cornice, fanlight, and panelled door of original design; round-arched ground-floor window with original glazing and margin lights; upper windows flat-arched with moulded stucco architraves and cornice on consoles to first floor; stepped parapet, the central block flanked by scrolled consoles and carrying inscription. The general features of the terrace are: basement and ground floor stuccoed, the ground floor decorated with chamfered rustication except no 35 which has smooth stucco and no 36 which is entirely rendered in stucco scored as ashlar. Steps up to flat-arched entrance with fluted quarter-columns, cornice and overlight, panelled doors of original design to nos 21, 23, 25, 27, 30-34. Ground-floor windows flat-arched with vermiculated keystones, and window guards to nos 24, 28-29; the ground-floor window of no 35 has triple sashes. Stucco terminates with sill band to first-floor windows which are round-arched with gauged brick heads, window guards to nos 23-24, 28-30 and 32. On nos 24-34 the street front rises to a third storey with flat-arched windows having gauged brick heads. Sashes of original design,including radiating glazing bars to first floor, to nos 21-22, 23 (ground floor), 24, 25 (ground and first floor), 26, 27 (ground floor), 30-34 (ground floor). Stucco cornice and blocking course to nos 23-36, parapet only on nos 21-22. No 23 has mansard roof with two dormers, no 35 has roof extension. Cast-iron railings to steps and area.
