II
House, now flats. 1905. By Henry T Sandy for HJ Bostock. Roughcast with stone dressings and hipped and gabled plain tile roofs with roughcast tapering ridge and end stacks. In Arts and Crafts style similar to that of Voysey. 2 storeys and attic. 8-window range in all of stone mullion windows with leaded lights, a 2-storey canted bay in gable to far left and another gable to far right. Central doorway with double doors and curved stone canopy on brackets and above this a 3-light dormer half below the broad eaves. Garden front similar with 2 long low dormers. (The Buildings of England: Pevsner N: Staffordshire: 42, 43; 248; Studio Year Book of Decorative Art: 1908-: 91, 124).
