The raised entrance is approached by a large double-sided flight of steps protected by railings; these have urn finials to the standards, and triple-leaf heads and wrought-iron scrollwork in the centre panels. The doorway and its narrow side windows have 2-centred arched heads, all set in a semi-elliptical arch framed by an open pediment carried on fluted consoles above pilasters. The ground floor has Venetian windows with a moulded architrave and a keystone. The upper floors have windows with plain reveals, those within the pediment being a low round-headed window between 2 lunettes. All the windows on the ground and first floors are sashed without glazing bars; those on the second floor have modern joinery. Below the ground-floor windows are blocked cellar openings. The building continues to the left under a continuous roof line as No.2 Moor Lane. On the ground floor it has a shop front of c1900, with a timber fascia and with steps within a recessed entrance.
