Formerly known as: Seven Stars Public House, ROTHER STREET. Town house, now public house. C17 with 1799 refronting. Timber-frame with brick infill and stuccoed brick front; slate roof with brick end stack. Three-unit plan. Two storeys; four-window range. Moulded plinth and plain eaves. Entrance to right of centre has architrave six-flush-panel door. Windows have sills, and 16-pane sashes, one to left end horned replacing carriage way; nine-pane sashes to first floor. Right return has exposed timber-framing shewing raised front eaves; later rear additions. Rear has two gabled wings with later lean-to outshut to left return; former segmental-headed carriage entrance to right end and some windows with brick flat arches to 16-pane sashes.
INTERIOR: ground floor opened up; chamfered beams.
