GV II

Lychgate and attached walls. Wall to south probably C18; lychgate and wall with railings in front of west end of church late C19 or early C20. Older walls rubble with hogs-back granite coping with stumps of former iron railings; lychgate is dressed granite and some rubble; dry Delabole slate roof with pierced ridge tiles; other walls are dressed granite brought to course with granite copings stepped up to follow slope to gateway with granite monolithic piers. Lychgate has side walls corbelled out near the top at front and rear; wide opening spanned by chamfered timber lintel/wall plate; wrought-iron gates with quatrefoil frieze; similar detail to other railings and gates. INTERIOR of lychgate has central coffin rest and roof structure with central tie-beam truss with arched collar.
