Offices, formerly hotel. Early/mid C18 with C19 and C20
alterations. Coursed squared limestone with traces of render
and render to second floor; Welsh slate roof; stone axial
stack to rear left. 3-storey 5-window range. First floor has
five C19 2/1-pane sashes in flat rendered surrounds with
projecting cills; second floor has five C19 two-light timber
casements in plain reveals; ground floor has early C20
shopfront with 2 plate glass windows flanking glazed door,
6-panel door with single-pane overlight to left, all within
surround with flat pilaster strips, 3 heavy console brackets,
frieze and moulded cornice. Moulded string over first floor;
shallow second floor, possibly added C19, with brick dentil
eaves cornice. INTERIOR has early C19 fireplace, chamfered
beam with run-out stop with nick to first floor left; similar
beam, no fireplace to first floor right. Rough chamfered beam
with step-stop, possibly reused, to ground floor rear;
fireplace opening with chamfered lintel in entrance hall.
