Former public house, now storage for shop. Late C17/early C18. Coursed squared limestone; stone slate roof; rebuilt brick left- and right-end stacks. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. Four 2-light flat beaded stone mullion-and-transom windows with C19 iron casements to first floor; three 6/6-pane sashes in similar beaded reveals with mullions-and-transoms cut out and projecting stone cills added to ground floor. 3 hipped dormers with 2-light timber casements. Door to right is deeply recessed; C19 six-panels with 3-panel timber panel to left; all in beaded stone reveal. Deep plinth; cavetto-moulded band courses over ground and first floors. Former timber eaves cornice now replaced by C20 timber boxed-out in imitation. INTERIOR has undergone considerable alteration in course of conversion to shop storage; ground floor centre has plastered beam with broad chamfer with run-out stop with broad notch; first floor rear has wall post with bracket head to rear on internal wall supporting plastered chamfered beam with run-out stop; dog-leg stair from first to second floor; 3 bays of roof with threaded purlins visible.
