GV II
Seven pairs of semi-detached linked villas. c. 1850. Brown and yellow stock brick set in Flemish bond with stucco ground floors and dressings; tile, artificial and Welsh-slate hipped roofs with projecting eaves and brick centre stacks. Side-hall entrance plan. Three storeys and attic; 2 windows each, plus ground floor deeply-recessed linked entrance-bays. Ground-floor, round-arched openings, most with architraves: to outer bay steps rise to panelled door (C20 doors to all but nos. 126 and 134) with plain fanlight (no. 152 altered) surmounted by stucco cornice. Nos. 128, 136, 138, 140, 142, 146, 150 with original balustrade over entrance bay and others with various C20 additions to upper floors. Ground floor with 6/6 sashes with curved and radial glazing bars and architraves linked by impost bands; cast-iron window guards. Brick upper storeys with stucco quoins, architraves and 1st floor sill band. First floor full-length 6/6 sashes with console-bracketed cornices, 2-bay iron-balcony railings (no. 150 railings missing) and iron brackets; 2nd floor with 6/6 sashes. Nos. 138, 142 and 152 with C20 sashes. No. 152 much altered. No. 146 is most original of entire terrace including all original architraves and balustrade above entrance. Attached railings.
