NZ 26 NE NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE JESMOND ROAD 9/341 (south side) Tomb of A.Reed about 100 metres south-west of Jesmond Cemetery gates. G.V. II Gothic tower tomb. Circa 1843. Signed I. DOBSON ARCHT. Memorial to Archibald Reed, sheriff, alderman and 6 times mayor of Newcastle, died 1842. Sandstone ashlar 21-stage tower with pinnacled diagonal buttresses; octagonal spire. Head- stopped drip moulds. Slab at west to vault entrance.
