Details

OLD HORSLEY ROAD 1. 5227 (south-east side) Weavers Cottage (formerly listed as premises occupied by L C Noble under Horsley Road) ST 8499 6/32 30.5.51 II GV 2. Early C18. Two and a half storeys, cross gabled "Cotswold"-type house. Rubble with ashlar quoins. Stone tile roof. Two light casements with chamfered stone mullions. Moulded oval roof-space lights above attic windows. Two first floor windows with common label, left hand window reduced for extension (Wayside Cottage qv). Right hand ground floor window altered. Central doorway with high label and wide chamfer to surround, stopped at base, strap hinges with heart-shaped ends. Twin gabled return to right, similar to front apart from a 3-light attic window with mullions to left. Oval window to right is dated "1631" in modern cement. Four storey rear elevation.
