11/246 Brown monument in churchyard, about 3.5m east of north porch, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Rectangular pedestal tomb; probably 1789; stone. Flat lid, moulded edge: tall quarter-square gadrooned corner balusters. Sides fielded panel with shaped head, ends rectangular fielded panel, both with leaf moulding to edge of frame. Moulded top to plinth, set on flat stone base. Commemorates John Brown, died 1789, and his wife, died 1823.
