Large detached dwelling, formerly The Sloop PH. C17. Rendered, with roof covered in composite slate tiles. Gabled block, central porch, end stacks, late C20 garage extension, left. Three storeys, 4-windowed, but 3 under eaves, mostly 2 or 3-light casements; one 3-light stone mullioned, with leaded glazing, first floor, right, and one cross mullion and transome over porch. Two large new plate glass openings in gable, east, facing railway line. Heavy plank door on strap hinges, and some original fittings in broad double ovolo frame, in porch.
Interior: oak newel stair returns over entrance door; very good plank and muntin partitions at first and second floor levels. Heavy C16 beams to ground floor, part moulded, part chamfered. Large open fire with remains of bread oven, all under very deep bressummer, left gable. One 4-light, ovolo mould timber casement first floor, back. Roof has been raised.
