TL 51 NW HATFIELD BROAD OAK WOOD ROW

GV II
House. Late C16/early C17. Timber framed and pebble dashed. Roofs are gabled and of pegtiles. One storey and attics 'hall' block and 2 storey crosswing with jettied front on south west end. Windows are early C20 metal casements in timber frames with rectangular leaded lights. The front door in baffle entry position is C18 with 6 raised and fielded panels. The ridge line stack is of the C17 concertina type. Small kitchen stack on rear of crosswing and 4 joists show on the front jetty. One C17 door remains inside and the inglenook stack is enclosed and has early C19 mantel shelf. RCHM 40.
