Details
UPAVON HIGH STREET SU 15 NW (west side) 2/154 The Antelope Inn (formerly listed as The 27.5.64 Antelope)
GV II Inn. 1765, possibly incorporating work from 1655. Brick with stone quoins and dressings. Two storeys, cellars and attic. Seven window bays but 4 on ground floor with door in 3rd. Ground floor raised up 6 steps over cellar with slit vents. Blue vitrified bricks with red brickwork around windows. Ground floor windows paired 12-pane sashes, and those on upper floor with segmental headed architraves and keystones. Moulded stone string and eaves. Right gable end has a blind arch. Extended in C18 with a single storey room on right with gable canted bay, and further extended to rear in C19 as wing of single storey and attic. C19-early C20 billiard room on right.
