Farmhouse, now used as animal shelter. Probably early C17 with C18 alterations. Coursed sandstone rubble with wide quoins and boulder plinth; patches of render on rear. Corrugated iron roof on main building, collapsed heather thatch on porch. Gable entry plan. 2 low storeys, 4 bays with west gable porch.
South elevation: wood lintels over wide door in third bay and flanking wide windows, that at right blocked; first-floor vent slit at left and square opening in second bay. Steeply-pitched roof. Left porch partly collapsed. Left return gable has chamfered wood lintel to studded plank door with Tudor-arched head in shaped wood surround. Rear elevation shows blocked door under wood lintel opposite front door; small square window under wide lintel to left of door; and blocked fire window at right. First-floor central loft opening; exposed beam ends.
Interior: partly plastered; massive chamfered beams, with stepped and curved stops; wide, stone lintel over inserted oven and fire against left gable; heck post and space for ladder stair beside fire. Small plain stone surround to fire against right gable. Peg holes in chamfer at central point of beam may indicate position of partitions. Roof has 3 sets of upper crucks, of large scantling, with varied apex detail - one saddle; massive chimney beam high in west gable with peg holes for former hood; stone chimney flues inserted against each gable.
