Details
UPPER KING STREET 1. 5304 SK 5803 9/63 No 7 II GV 2. Early C19. Similar in build to Nos 1, 3 and 5 but with large later slated mansard roof with gabled ends and three segmental pedimented dormers. Stuccoed front with parapet, and cornice which is continued from Nos 1, 3 and 5. Stucco. Two storeys and attic. Four windows. Pilasters at ends and centre with anthemion ornament, and moulded cornice breaking forward over pilasters. Moulded string course at first floor level. All windows sashes with glazing bars, in moulded shouldered architraves. Doorway with moulded shouldered architrave and cornice on console brackets, modern glazed door and rectangular fanlight. Behind red brick, at side irregular fenestration of sashes with tall round-head stair window.
Nos 1 to 29 (odd) and No 8 Tower Street form a group.
