Square cast iron post erected under the London Coal and Wine Duties (Continuance) Act 1861. Inscribed "4 ' 25 VICT/CAP 42" with the City of London's coat of arms on the head. Cast by Henry Grissell at the Regents Canal Ironworks, Eagle Wharf Road, Hoxton.
