SHALBOURNE BURR LANE SU 36 SW (north side) 13/162 No 53 (Crooked Cottage) II Cottage. C17. Timber framed with brick infill, brick gable to road, and south front refaced in brick. Tiled roof. Single storey and attic, 2 bays, with large C20 wing containing entrance on right. Frame 3-panels high on brick sill. External stack to road has 2 diagonal shafts and datestone 1665 F.S. Timber casement windows and C20 square bay on north-east face. Roof half-hipped to right and 2 dormer to rear.
