Details
ALLINGTON BOSCOMBE SU 23 NW (north-west side) 4/9 Bridge Cottage II
House. Early C18. Flint with brick quoins and lacing and clunch lacing at side. Two storeys and attics, 2 bays. Central stair hall plan with original kitchen to left, parlour to right. Off-centre boarded door with open gabled and tiled porch. Paned casement windows with later shutters. Gable stacks, that to right an early C19 addition to an unheated room. Lean-to outbuilding replacing 2- storey outshut and now garage on left and lean-to along rear, now with service rooms. Interior: stack to main room has chamfered timber fire lintel and oven. Shaped chamfer stops. Partitions of ovolo moulded lapped planks. (RCHM survey).
