Details
LITTLE SOMERFORD THE STREET ST 98 SE (south side) 3/285 Barn to south west of Street Farmhouse GV II Barn, late C18 or early C19, rubble stone and red brick with stone slate half-hipped roof and half-hipped projecting off-centre west side cart-entry, plain opposed east side entry. East side has ashlar right jamb to cart entry and ashlar flush north end quoins, brick left jamb. Double doors to right, two boarded upper loading doors to left, one brick loop and door at left end. West side has brick-fronted cart-entry with timber lintel and ashlar dove-entry in gable. Walling to left is red brick, formerly within a stone lean-to, with one broad opening. Longer range to right has one upper loading door, one brick loop and small window at right end. Rubble south end wall with loading door. Six-bay brick-lined barn with 2-bay separate sections each end.
