Details
LITTLE SOMERFORD THE STREET ST 98 SE (south side) 3/283 Manor Farmhouse (formerly listed as Manor House) 12.12.51 GV II Large house, late C17 or early C18, roughcast with ashlar dressings, stone slate roof, coped gables and paired ashlar stacks to ridge and each end. Two storeys and attic, seven window range. Three hipped casement dormers. Main front has rubble plinth, flush quoins, moulded string course and coved eaves cornice. Windows are 12-pane sashes in painted stone architraves with flush ashlar panels beneath. Centre early C19 part-glazed door with overlight in ashlar Roman Doric porch with two columns and pilaster responds. Two upper windows are dummy. South east rear wing has east side 16-pane sash above and 2-light cyma-moulded recessed mullion window below. Brick south end wall. Rear of main range is built out but four dormers and rear wall stack to original range. Brick and rubble stone south west rear wing.
